What gear do you use? 

I’m a canon shooter. My main camera is a 5D Mark III.

Did you go to school for photography? 

No. I have degrees in French and Communication. Photography was always my favorite hobby, so I’ve definitely honed the craft over the years. I’m a firm believer that certain gifts can’t be taught and when you really love something, you work at it. Hard. I also consider photography an art. In many ways, I’m glad I didn’t formally study it because I am not afraid to break the rules. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.

How long have you been doing this? 

I've been shooting professionally since 2013.  I've been shooting unprofessionally almost all my life.

How would you define your style? 

I love details.  I love honesty.  I love movement.  I'm also into clean lines and bold scenes and highlighting really simple things that tell a bigger story.  I'm not a purest. I don't try to capture the end product solely with my camera.  Part of my artistry happens after the shot is taken when I begin the editing process.  I rarely add or subtract from the composition, but I always tweak colors and tones.  I consider this an important aspect to my style and interpretation and something I'm not afraid to admit.  On the contrary, I proudly acknowledge it.
